Is Surrogacy For Us

Understanding the Path to Parenthood Through Surrogacy

Common Reasons Intended Parents Choose Surrogacy

Deciding to pursue surrogacy is a deeply personal decision—and it’s not always easy to know when or if you’re ready to take that next step.

At Delivering Hope, we’ve walked alongside countless intended parents wrestling with this same question. Whether you’re at the beginning of your fertility journey or have tried everything else, this page is for you. Let’s explore together what makes surrogacy the right path for some—and how to know if it might be the right path for you.

Surrogacy isn’t just an option when “nothing else works”—it’s often a purposeful, empowering choice for growing your family. You might consider surrogacy if:

1. You’re Facing Medical Challenges

  • Have you been diagnosed with infertility or advised against carrying a pregnancy due to health risks?
  • Have you undergone surgeries, cancer treatments, or conditions that prevent pregnancy?
Surrogacy provides a safe and medically supported way to become a parent when pregnancy isn’t possible or safe for you.

2. You’ve Experienced Repeated Loss

For many, recurrent miscarriage can be emotionally devastating. If you’ve experienced repeated losses, your doctor may have already recommended surrogacy.

3. You’re Part of the LGBTQ+ Community

Many LGBTQ+ couples and individuals choose surrogacy to build biological families. Surrogacy is a powerful and affirming path forward.

4. You’re a Single Individual Ready for Parenthood

You don’t need a partner to start a family. More single men and women are choosing surrogacy to realize their dream of parenthood—on their timeline and terms.

Emotional Readiness: Are You Prepared for the Journey?

Surrogacy is a beautiful option—but it’s not an overnight process. It’s important to consider your emotional readiness.

  • Are you open to trusting someone else to carry your child?
That trust can be one of the most rewarding parts of the process—but it’s also a big leap.
  • Are you emotionally ready to parent, even if you don’t experience pregnancy?
Some intended parents grieve the loss of carrying their own child. That’s normal—and it doesn’t make you any less ready to be a parent.
  • Do you have a support system or a psychologist who can guide you through the emotional moments?
At Delivering Hope, emotional wellness is just as important as legal and medical success. That’s why we provide resources, counseling recommendations, and constant connection throughout the journey.

Logistical Readiness: What to Consider

Financial Planning

Surrogacy is an investment—emotionally, physically, and financially. While Delivering Hope is transparent about all costs upfront, it’s important to evaluate your financial readiness to take on this commitment.

Legal & Ethical Preparedness

Each surrogacy journey includes legal contracts, parental rights paperwork, and ethical agreements between you and your surrogate. We’ll connect you with experienced attorneys who specialize in surrogacy law so you never feel lost or unprotected.

Time Commitment

Surrogacy is not a quick solution—it’s a process that unfolds over 18–24 months. If you’re ready to be intentional and involved, this can be a deeply fulfilling season in your life.

When You’re Not Sure… That’s Normal

You may be feeling:

  • Hopeful, but hesitant
  • Grateful this option exists, but unsure if it’s your path
  • Curious, but overwhelmed with unknowns

These feelings are not only valid—they’re common. Many intended parents reach out just to ask questions before making any decisions. And that’s exactly what we’re here for.

Testimonials From A Surrogate of Delivering Hope

This is a review for Delivering Hope, LLC (TLDR; they’re amazing!)

I was introduced to Delivering Hope through Surrogacy Is and I could not be more thankful to have had them as my agency for my first journey.

I was briefly with another agency that did not work out after I finally listened to all the red flags;  I interviewed with 3 additional agencies that also were not a good fit and I was so discouraged when I finally met the agency of my dreams.
I came in guarded and on high alert from my recent negative experiences elsewhere but was met with compassion, patience, understanding, flexibility, and even a bit of humor.

The team is tight knit and all the case managers and the owner have been previous surrogates with unique journeys and perspectives to share. I LOVED my case manager Bree. Coincidentally, her surro baby was born just 1 week before mine! When she was recovering, she still took time to check in on me even though she didn’t have to. While she was “out” the owner, Cat, checked in on me frequently and handled all my bills and escrow requests. I called Cat multiple times throughout the journey for various things. It felt so intimate having direct contact with the agency owner in addition to my case managers and other members of the team. Cat is like no other. She listens intently and has a way of approaching difficult conversations with ease. She was always willing to hear my concerns and helped create solutions to my requests including adding uses for my wellness benefit, discussions of lost wages, and LOTS of discussions about insurance (stupid liens!).

Speaking of escrow, I really appreciated that I had access to it without actually having to request anything myself. I’m a busy mom with a full time job. Bree submitted all requests timely and accurately. We used Seed Trust which was of course, fantastic. Very easy to track payments for both parties, clear emails with descriptions of disbursements, and quick to respond to requests.

As a first time GC and a classic extrovert, I needed every aspect of support they offer. We had virtual game night with other GCs and team members, workout support group, regular monthly support group with random prize giveaways, secret Santa, and monthly check ins 1:1 with my case manager. They also have a private FB page for GCs that is encouraging, positive, and supportive.
As a nurse, I believe in individualized patient care. Delivering Hope provided me with individualized care as a GC. I appreciated the openness to discussions related to my benefits package and what I was looking for in my journey.
They found me the EXACT IPs I was looking for without asking me to compromise on my must haves and boundaries. Excellent match making skills!

Bonus: Their birth educator, Ireland, helped us create the perfect birth plan making sure multiple aspects of the big day were covered. It went so smoothly and we were all on the same page.

I felt seen and safe with this agency. They are a SEEDS member and just went to the recent conference. I know they take this membership seriously as our discussions often referenced industry standards, best practice, ASRM guidelines, and ethics in all aspects of surrogacy for both IPs and GCs. Again, as a nurse, this was so important to me. It’s easy for an agency to look the best when everything in a journey is smooth, but I can attest to their excellence even when there are inevitable bumps.

I’ve confidently recommended them to friends, coworkers and potential IPs that I personally know. Thank you, Delivering Hope!
